Story:
Another work celebrating the beaky birds of the Inlet.
A couple of spoonbills hanging around the inlet on the incoming tide. Spoonbills can be seen in a flock, or just on ones and twos. If you go out especially to see them, invariably they're nowhere to be found.
These gangly birds are all beak and legs! This is one of many of my works set around the humble inlet. I adore painting the shore birds, capturing the essence of an ordinary day on the Inlet, with the wildlife, the tides and the light all working in harmony as it does in nature.
I want people to look twice, enjoy the beauty, and respect the fragility of our beautiful coastal habitats.
Framing Tips:
This print fits an off-the-shelf picture frame with an A4 sized mat board opening (i.e. the hole!). Remember to use a frame with a mat border, so the print doesn't touch the glass. Once framed, it will be quite a bit bigger than A4 because of the border and the frame itself.
Or invest in professional framed and gorgeous mat board for full fabulousness!
