INSPIRATION


The oystercatcher is my bird of the hour. I love to watch them hanging out between feeding times, especially as the take a nap, resting on one leg. Just why?!


This work was inspired by the seabirds on the rocks of Rocks Road, Nelson. The tide gently washes over and around the rocks and the birds rest conveniently just out of harm's way (traffic, dogs, walkers, kids).
