If you've ever watched gannets feed, you will appreciate the incredible feat that is them dive-bombing for dinner.


My reference for these particular girls was sitting at the beach in Kaiteriteri at dusk, and just marveling at them.


I adore painting shore birds, capturing the essence of an ordinary day on the Inlet, with the wildlife, the tides and the light all working in harmony as it does in nature.
