Mud Life
Mud Life
This work celebrates life and tenacity. You would not expect such beauty and life from a 'dirty old mud flat'.
The white face heron is one of the few bird that are not endangered. I notice they seem to get a feed from anywhere - from the shellfish in the mud to the the grubs in the adjacent grassy areas.
The browns in the mud are complemented with the whitey blues from the reflected sky. I love putting these soft colors together and see them dance in harmony.
This work was painted alongside Mud Buddies. Shown in second pic. They're exactly the same size, and look fabulous as a pair, as pictured.
