STORY
The Kaikoura Peninsula is a little bit magic. Its waters are home to seals, dolphins, sea lions, abundant seafood (kaimoana), and sea birds. It’s historically significant for Maori and has a whaling story.
Kaikoura is our family magnet, so it was natural for me to paint this series.
This landscape depicts the wintery Kaikoura mountains from what is locally known as the Point, with typical farmland in the foreground.
The finished landscape painting has been expertly processed to produce an authentic giclee print.
