INSPIRATION
Kaikoura may soon become a World Heritage site. It also holds a very special place in our family hearts, and history. It is the birthplace of 9 of my siblings.
This work is the third in a Kaikoura series inspired by my time there, and a challenge to interpret Kaikoura in my own way.
I used impasto techniques, with thick paint applied with a palette knife to give a lovely richness and texture to the work.
