Inspired by the birds and the cold winter light hitting the Waimea Estuary mud flats just out of Richmond, Nelson Tasman. The character in the foreground is well-fed pied shag, hanging out at low tide.
This work was painted alongside Mud Life. They're exactly the same size, and look fabulous as a pair, as pictured. Recommend buying them both.
