Oystercatchers are a very cute and funny shore bird, with a lot of personality! The way they trot the beach and yack amongst themselves always makes me smile.
These two paintings depict a protective mumma, standing just in front of her young one. The two works show the chick at slightly different stages. She's ready to confront anything for her baby.
