This work was hatched during a South Island 'research trip' (ie van and bike trip) for six new South Island landscape paintings featuring mountains.
You travel over the Waiau Gorge bridge on your way in to Hanmer Springs. It's a farming area, and is surrounded by South Island mountains. So you'll see stock in the distance.
The geometric shapes are a play on the shapes in the gorge - heavily artist-ised!
