This work was inspired by a South Island roadie. I've done it many, but this time stopped for an overnighter at Lake Pukaki, looking straight down the lake to Mount Cook in the middle of winter.
I added a gentle pair of local Paradise Ducks, going about their day. To me, the Paradise Duck symbolises togetherness and partnership. You always see them as a pair. Their gorgeous warm colors contrast perfectly with the winter blues and greens.
