This work was inspired by a South Island roadie. We stopped for an overnighter at Lake Pukaki, looking straight down the lake to Mount Cook.
I added a gentle pair of local Paradise Ducks, going about their day. To me, the Paradise Duck symbolises togetherness and partnership. You always see them as a pair. Their softness and warmth contrast perfectly with the icy blue-green of Lake Pukaki and the edgy Aoraki Mount Cook.
