White Heron 1 - in Rimu
White Heron | Kotuku.
Original painting on oil, painted with a knife for a textured, sculptural effect.
The beautiful and rare white heron, likes its own company best, unless it's mating season.
These small works are fabulous in a small space. Perfect for a tall skinny wall, or the awkward space between windows.
Framing - this frame is as much an original work of art as the painting itself. It has been hand made from scratch, from heirloom heart Rimu (a New Zealand hard wood), by my husband Reid.
All my materials have been selected, sized, prepared and finished by hand, making a bespoke hand-made work of art, completely from scratch.
