Who doesn't love the poaka / pied stilt, with its ridiculously, long pink legs! A classic wading bird, often seen with it's head down, feeding in the shallows.
Framing - this frame is as much an original work of art as the painting itself! It has been lovingly hand made from scratch, from salvaged heirloom heart Rimu (a New Zealand hard wood). Made by my clever husband, Reid.
