Story:
It celebrates the humble Estuary. It looks over the Waimea Estuary back towards the hills of Nelson, from Best Island near Richmond.
Best Island is one of the islands surrounding the slightly more famous Rabbit Island (Motuara). I biked there, and was so taken with the reflections in the silky water, it went straight on my "must paint" list.
My estuary paintings are not complete without a few of the local characters, in this case a spoonbill, and a couple of spoonbill buddies in the distance.

Prints should be framed with a border, which has the effect of making the finished, framed product quite a lot larger that the print itself. Rather fabulous!
