Nelson Tasman - Original Triptych 2024
(Tahunanui Beach to Kahurangi National Park).
Good things come in threes!
These three pieces together depict three icons of Nelson Tasman:
1 the fabulous Tahunanui Beach in the foreground,
2 Kahurangi National Park (and "the Twins") stylised in the background, and
3 a representative sample (three!) of the local shore birds that I adore.
I used a palette knife and impasto technique (thick paint) for the lovely texture on this work.

Oil on three solid timber pieces.
Each piece is 600mm long x 85mm wide x 40mm deep
