STORY
This work was inspired by riding the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail. Three hundred kilometers of gorgeous New Zealand landscape was just such a visual feast.
This huge hunk of rock at Lake Ohau has always inspired me. It rises out of the lake as if it is guarding the place. Scree looks like it is running into the lake like a river.
The movement in the trees in this work is a nod to the horrendous wind that can sweep down the valley at Lake Ohau.
